Terralina Italian Kitchen Review: A Pleasant Surprise at Disney Springs

When you think of Italian food at Disney, the mind often jumps to heavy sauces and overcooked pasta that leave you feeling more bloated than satisfied. But let me tell you, darlings, our recent experience at Terralina Italian Kitchen at Disney Springs was nothing short of a revelation. This restaurant took us completely by surprise in the best way possible, serving up delicious Italian fare that didn’t come with the usual Disney dining pitfalls.

As we walked into the restaurant, I was already feeling the exhaustion of a day spent zig-zagging around the parks (my Apple Watch was practically begging for mercy after clocking nearly 20,000 steps). Despite my fatigue, I was looking forward to a nice sit-down meal, and Terralina did not disappoint. The interior was much larger and more spacious than I had expected. With a comfortable, cozy ambiance that beckoned us to settle in. We opted to sit inside to escape the Florida heat, but I could easily see how nice it would be to enjoy a meal on their outdoor patio with the cool evening breeze.

Drinks That Hit the Spot

After a long day of walking, I knew what I needed: a nice, crisp glass of Pinot Grigio. The wine list at Terralina is quite impressive, and my glass of Pinot was the perfect companion to what was about to become an unexpectedly fantastic meal. Jamie, on the other hand, went for his usual choice—Heineken, a reliable favorite for the Saucy King. We didn’t bother with cocktails this time. I was far too parched for anything but water after such a busy day. But from what I could tell, the cocktail menu looked quite inviting, and I’ll certainly consider trying one next time when I’m not in need of a hydration rescue.

The Thanksgiving Special That Had Us Dreaming

Before diving into the food we ordered, I have to mention something our lovely server shared with us. On Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, Terralina offers a special Thanksgiving menu that sounded absolutely incredible. Picture this: Rosemary Roasted Turkey, served with applewood smoked bacon and Granny Smith apple stuffing, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, and a rich sage and thyme gravy with homemade cranberry relish. Doesn’t that sound like the ultimate holiday feast? While we won’t get the chance to try it ourselves (thankfully, I’ll be spending Thanksgiving in the comfort of my own home, with the Saucy King and Prince by my side), it’s worth noting for anyone visiting Disney Springs during the holidays. I’m sure it would have been a memorable meal! And speaking of memorable meals…

The Food – The Star of the Show

When it comes to Italian food, we all know the risks: bland pasta drowned in sugary sauce, overly greasy pizzas, and mediocre ingredients. But at Terralina, the food was an absolute delight and truly stood out as one of the best meals we’ve had at Disney Springs. We were in the mood for sharing, so we decided to opt for a pasta and a pizza—because let’s face it, in the world of Disney dining, those two are more than enough to fill you up.

Wood-Fired Pizza

We kicked things off with a wood-fired Margherita pizza, which cost about $20—a fantastic deal considering the quality. The pizza came topped with the classic fresh mozzarella, chicken, red onion, and roasted garlic—and oh my, what a treat! The crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings were generous, and the flavors balanced perfectly. Even Max, who typically sticks to the classic Margherita (no frills, just cheese), decided to try a bite, and I have to say, he was impressed! It’s the kind of pizza that makes you want to savor every bite, and I’m already looking forward to ordering it again on our next visit.

Spaghetti Bolognese

But the true star of the show was the Spaghetti Bolognese. As a Brit who grew up with a fondness for hearty Italian dishes, this was a dish that hit home. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the beef and pork meat sauce was rich and flavorful, made with a tomato cream base. There was no skimping on the quality here—each bite of pasta was indulgent and satisfying. Honestly, we were fighting over the last few bites, and I can tell you right now, the next time we’re at Terralina, we’ll be ordering two portions of this because one just isn’t enough. In my royal opinion, this was the best Spaghetti Bolognese I’ve had in Disney World—hands down.

Dessert – Not This Time, But Next Time!

By the time we finished our meal, we were both completely stuffed, but there’s always room for dessert, right? Unfortunately, after a full day of walking around the parks and indulging in such a hearty meal, we didn’t have the energy to dive into something sweet. But next time, I have my eyes on the Double Chocolate Cake—and I’m determined to make room for it. I’ve heard it’s the perfect ending to a fantastic Italian meal, so don’t be surprised if I return with a second stomach just for that cake!

Saucy Verdict – 9/10

All in all, our experience at Terralina Italian Kitchen was absolutely wonderful. The setting was perfect, the service was attentive, and the food was exceptional. From the crispy pizza to the indulgent Bolognese, everything was flavorful, fresh, and well worth the price. Sure, we didn’t give it a perfect 10, but the fact that it was such a pleasant surprise—and the fact that we’ll definitely be back—speaks volumes.

I’ll be recommending Terralina to everyone who visits Disney Springs, especially those in the mood for a solid Italian meal. The next time you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. I promise you won’t regret it.
