Saucy Meal Queen Review: Sunday Roast at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen, Atlantis The Palm, Dubai

When it comes to Sunday roasts, nobody does it quite like Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen. During our lavish three-week stay at the stunning Atlantis The Palm, we treated ourselves to this quintessentially British experience, and let me tell you—it was worth every penny.

The Setting – Gordon Ramsay, Sunday Lunch, Bread Street Kitchen

Atlantis The Palm is an icon of Dubai luxury, and while we’ve been spoiled on past visits with dining al fresco to the backdrop of live music in the cooler winter months, this time it was summer. With temperatures soaring past 40°C, the live music was brought indoors—because even we queens have limits. The indoor setting was equally fabulous, with a lively atmosphere, and we were never rushed. Service? Impeccable. Exactly what you’d expect from Gordon’s team.

The Food, Gordon Ramsay, Sunday Lunch, Bread Street Kitchen

Starters:

  • Let’s start with the Pea and Mint Soup. Who knew something so simple could be so divine? Not too thick, not too watery, just silky perfection. I could genuinely eat this every single day for the rest of my life.

Mains:

  • We’re British, so a Sunday roast is practically our birthright.
  • My prince opted for the Roast Chicken, and he was one happy royal.
  • I went classic with the Roast Beef, cooked to perfection and served with all the trimmings.
  • The king? He went all out with both Chicken AND Beef. Why choose one roast when you can have two? Truly a saucy move if ever I’ve seen one.
  • Did someone say fluffy Yorkshire puddings? Oh yes! and before you ask, yes, we did order extra.
  • Crispy roast potatoes? Oh please, like Gordon would serve anything else.
  • Extra gravy? Come on, we’re the saucy family (and British), it goes without saying.

Dessert:

  • When you order the Sunday roast, it comes with a free trifle. Ours was packed with dark fruits, fluffy cream, and just the right amount of sweetness. We didn’t manage to finish it—having already devoured our weight in roast dinners—but it was delightful nonetheless.

Drinks:

  • A meal like this calls for fabulous wine, and Gordon’s selection did not disappoint. The queen enjoyed a French rosé, while the king savored a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • As for cocktails, I had the most stunning pink concoction that was so delicious it might bring me to tears if they ever remove it from the menu. I didn’t catch the name (rookie mistake), but I took a photo—if you spot it, don’t hesitate.

A Few Notes for Fellow Royals

  • This experience isn’t included in Atlantis’s half-board package, so be prepared to pay extra.
  • Our bill came to around £350 / $450, and while it’s a splurge, every single penny was well spent.
  • The restaurant gets busy, but you won’t feel rushed.
  • Dress the part, my queens—Sunday lunch here is a chic affair, so break out your best dresses and embrace the glam.

The Verdict

Saucy Score: 10/10. Who wouldn’t love a Sunday roast in 40°C heat? Sure, it’s a bit ironic, but the laughs, the luxury, and the incredible food make it an experience to remember. We’ll be back the very second we land in Dubai again. Until next time, Bread Street Kitchen, save us a seat! Until then!
