Breakfast at Oscar’s at the Waldorf Astoria Disneyworld: A Saucy Meal Queen Review

Ah, darlings, sometimes a girl just needs a little solo retreat, and what better place for some peace and quiet than the Waldorf Astoria Disneyworld? With a resort pass in hand, I was ready to enjoy a day of relaxation and indulgence, and boy, did I get both in spades. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the stress melt away. I spent the day by the perfectly heated pool, reading my book and sipping on sodas (yes, no wine today—what a rare sight!). After a day of absolute bliss, the Saucy King picked me up, but before that, I indulged in a breakfast fit for royalty at Oscar’s, the resort’s signature restaurant.

Let me take you through this delightful experience, darlings, because it’s not every day I get to enjoy a breakfast this delicious. Oscar’s at the Waldorf Astoria is definitely worth a visit.

A Relaxing Start to the Day

I decided to spend the day relaxing, and honestly, Oscar’s breakfast set the tone. It was my solo adventure, and I was in no rush—just pure me-time. The atmosphere was welcoming and calm, and the attentive staff ensured I felt like a queen the entire time. I started my day with a leisurely breakfast, reading my book and enjoying every bite. No one rushed me, and I had all the time in the world to indulge.

The Breakfast Selection at Oscar’s at the Waldorf Astoria

When it comes to breakfast at Oscar’s, the choices are as vast as they are delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty cooked breakfast or a light, refreshing spread, they’ve got something to satisfy every craving. The buffet is where I decided to spend most of my morning, but I’ll break it down for you:

The A-La-Carte Option

For those of you who enjoy a more tailored meal, Oscar’s offers a lovely a la carte menu. You can customize your meal to your liking, and I’ll tell you—everything on the menu looked absolutely scrumptious. But as a girl who loves variety, I opted for the buffet.

The Buffet: A Feast for the Eyes and Taste Buds at Oscar’s at the Waldorf Astoria

At $40 per person, the Oscar’s breakfast buffet is absolutely worth it. The spread is extensive, and they really had everything I could possibly want. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Fresh Smoked Salmon: This was a highlight for me! I adore a bit of smoked salmon in the morning, and this one was delicate, flavorful, and fresh. Perfect on a bagel or on its own.
  • Fresh Fruit: The fruit selection was vibrant and varied. Perfect for those of us who love a refreshing start to the day. There were everything from berries to melon and grapefruit.
  • Cereal: Classic, comforting, and available in all varieties. You could pick from healthy options like granola to the more indulgent choices.
  • Breads and Pastries: Oh, darlings, the bread basket was divine. I especially loved the croissants and the soft rolls. With butter and jam, it’s a little slice of heaven!
  • Waffles and Pancakes: Because what’s a breakfast buffet without waffles and pancakes? My King would have gone a little crazy here, drizzling syrup over my pancakes and adding a dollop of whipped cream. Honestly, what’s life without a little indulgence?
  • Donuts: A sweet little treat for the sweet tooth. Fluffy and delicious, they were the perfect finishing touch.
  • Meats and Cheeses: From crispy bacon to perfectly cooked sausage, the selection was on point. The meats were flavorful, and the cheese board was fantastic. The perfect balance of savory and rich.

They really did have it all, darlings. And the best part? The staff was incredibly attentive. They made sure my tea cup was never empty, my juice was topped off, and my plate was full—what more can a girl ask for?

The Saucy Queen’s Breakfast

Now, onto what I ate. As you know, breakfast isn’t always my go-to meal, but at Oscar’s, I had a blast choosing a few dishes that made me feel like the Queen of the morning.

  • Cooked Breakfast: I went with the classic fried eggs, pork sausages, crispy bacon, and potatoes. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was delightfully crispy, and the sausages? Well, let’s just say they were so tasty, I couldn’t resist a second helping. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside, just the way I like them. Delicious and comforting—the perfect start to my day.
  • Bread with Jam and Butter: Oh, darling, this was my British side coming out! A classic breakfast dish, and I’ll always opt for bread and jam. The butter was perfectly creamy, and the jam added just the right amount of sweetness.
  • English Breakfast Tea: What’s breakfast without a cup of hot English breakfast tea? It was the ideal beverage to accompany my meal, and it made me feel right at home.
  • Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice: I had several glasses of this gorgeous juice. It was so fresh, and the perfect accompaniment to my meal. Tart, tangy, and sweet, it was just the right thing to brighten up the morning.

A Relaxed Atmosphere

While the food was incredible, what really made the experience special was the ambiance. The atmosphere at Oscar’s is elegant yet relaxed, the perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast. The light-filled dining room and lovely outdoor seatingreally gave me a sense of calm, and I found myself completely immersed in the moment.

The service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable. There’s nothing worse than feeling rushed at breakfast, and the team at Oscar’s made sure I had all the time I needed to enjoy my meal.

Saucy Verdict: A Royal 8/10

So, what’s the final verdict? For me, this breakfast experience was a solid 8/10. Everything was absolutely wonderful, but there were just a few small touches that could have made it even better. A couple of British touches (like mushroomsand baked beans) would have made it feel just a little bit closer to home for me, but that’s just a personal preference. Overall, I felt completely indulged and looked after.

I will definitely be back to Oscar’s for another resort day. The food, service, and ambiance make it a must-visit spot, and I’m already dreaming of the next time I get to relax by the pool and enjoy another delicious breakfast.

Until next time, darlings! 💋
