Darlings, hold onto your wine glasses, because I’ve just had one of the most delightful evenings at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it. This time, it was just the Saucy Couple—Jamie (the Saucy King) and myself (the Saucy Queen)—leaving our little prince Max behind for a well-deserved, solo date. After all, when you have the chance to dine at a wine lover’s paradise, you grab it by the glass and indulge, right? So, off we went to Wine Bar George, or as we like to call it, Wine Bar G.
Now, let’s talk about the real magic that happens when you step inside Wine Bar G. This place is a wine lover’s dream, and I’m not just talking about the wine selection (though, don’t get me wrong, it’s fabulous). No, darlings, Wine Bar George is a place where your taste buds go on their own little vacation—one full of scrumptious cheeses, meats, breads, pâté, and a selection of other delectable treats that will have you saying, “Yes, please!” more than once.
We started our night with The Big Board—and by “big,” I mean BIG. This beautiful display of cheeses, meats, breads, honey, pâté, nuts, and olives was absolutely scrumptious. If I could live off cheese and charcuterie, I’d be a very happy queen indeed. The variety on this board was so well-curated, every bite was like heaven in a mouthful. The richness of the pâté, the tang of the cheeses, and the crunch of the nuts made it the perfect start to a perfect evening.
We devoured the Big Board while chatting, savoring every bite, and laughing as we realized we had to pace ourselves. Because, darlings, there was so much more to come—and no, I’m not just talking about the wine.
Ah, the wine! You know the Saucy Queen is never far from a glass of wine, and Wine Bar George has this fantastic menu called “Outstanding by the Ounce” where you can sample some of the finest wines by the ounce (or three ounces, if you’re feeling fancy). This is where the real fun began, darlings.
I decided to team up with the bartender for a little wine-tasting game. You see, Jamie (my lovely Saucy King) thinks he’s got an eye (and palate) for fine wine, so we decided to test him. Without telling him if he was sipping from an expensive bottle or a humble house pour, I let him take the reins. Oh, and I must say, I wasn’t shocked by the results. Surprise, surprise! The King has a taste for the finer things. He immediately picked out the higher-end wines, and honestly, I should have known. The man does have a royal palate, after all.
Now, let’s just say—Wine Bar G knows how to deliver the perfect pour. The flavors were complex, the aromas were intoxicating, and each sip left us both wanting more. But it wasn’t just about the wine itself. No, it was about the experience, the atmosphere, and the fact that we were being treated like royalty.
And here’s the real treat, darlings—George himself, the owner of Wine Bar George, came over to pour our wines and chat with us about the wines we were tasting. What a delightful surprise to be able to chat with the man behind the magic! He was so gracious and knowledgeable, offering us a little inside scoop on the wines we were trying and making us feel like we were in the company of a true wine expert. Now that, my dear friends, is an experience that takes a dinner from delicious to extra special.
As much as I love testing Jamie’s wine-tasting skills, I couldn’t resist sticking to my go-to drink—the French rosé on tap. Yes, you heard me right, darlings—rosé on tap. It’s light, crisp, and oh-so-refreshing. The perfect drink to sip on while you nibble on your charcuterie and soak in the magical atmosphere. However, here’s my one little quibble: I need more French rosé goodness on the menu, Wine Bar G. A queen needs her wine, and I could definitely drink more than just one glass of this delightful rosé!
But darlings, the rosé on tap was top-notch, and it paired beautifully with the Big Board and the entire evening. I was living my best royal life, and honestly, there’s nothing quite like sipping a glass of rosé while gazing out at the stunning Disney Springs.
Let’s not forget, this night was a solo date for Jamie and me. No little prince to worry about, no distractions, just the two of us, indulging in the finer things and enjoying each other’s company. It’s always nice to take a break from the daily routine and have some one-on-one time, and I can’t think of a better place to do that than Wine Bar George. We laughed, we reminisced, and we just had a wonderful time together.
The staff was absolutely amazing—they were attentive, knowledgeable, and made the experience that much better. It felt like we were being treated like royalty, and really, that’s all any queen wants, isn’t it?
Now, you might be wondering, why 8/10 and not 10/10? Well, darlings, I’ll be honest—the bar stools weren’t exactly royal-approved. My royal tushy was less than impressed with the seating situation, and I’d love to see a little more comfort next time. Also, I’m still wishing for a bit more rosé on the menu—because a queen never has enough of her favorite drink. But even with those little quirks, Wine Bar George absolutely delivers in all the important areas.
So, what’s the final word from the Saucy Queen? Wine Bar George is a must-visit for any wine lover, foodie, or anyone looking to enjoy a memorable evening in Disney Springs. Whether you’re after a glass of delicious wine, some scrumptious bites, or just a place with a fabulous atmosphere, this spot delivers. I’ll definitely be back—Saucy King and I have already planned our next visit.
Cheers to a fabulous evening, Wine Bar G! 🍷💋
Stay Saucy, The Saucy Queen 👑
