When it comes to staycations fit for royalty, the Waldorf Astoria, Disney World Orlando truly knows how to roll out the red carpet. For our latest Saucy retreat, we returned to this luxurious haven, and let me tell you, it was a rejuvenating blend of relaxation, indulgence, and just the right amount of sauciness.
The heated pool is, quite simply, divine. Whether you’re looking to unwind with a good book or engage in a lively game of ping pong (the Saucy King and Prince went at it for two hours—very competitive, these boys!), the pool area offers something for everyone.
The newly added padded sun loungers were a game-changer. On our last visit, they weren’t quite up to the Queen’s standards, but now? Absolute perfection. Add to that the attentive poolside staff, who ensured our every need was met with a smile, and you’ve got a poolside experience that feels as indulgent as it is relaxing. The pool food was good too, we shared a Salmon Caesar Salad and it was more than enough for two.
The Saucy Prince gave his seal of approval to the poolside games, and I must admit, I did enjoy a cheeky mocktail while cheering on the boys.
Peacock Alley stole the show with its incredible menu. From light bites to indulgent treats, everything was beautifully presented and utterly delicious. Breakfast at Oscar’s was equally impressive. The variety of options meant that even the Saucy Prince’s picky palate was satisfied—though I naturally had to try a little bit of everything (for research purposes, of course!).
Next time, we’re setting our sights on the legendary Bull & Bear. Unfortunately, it was fully booked this time around, but I’ve heard it’s worth planning ahead for. Don’t worry, darlings, we’ll have a full review for you as soon as we manage to secure a table.
Our room was clean, modern, and looked freshly renovated—like it was prepped just for us. Everything was spotless (and I mean spotless), from the plush bedding to the gleaming bathroom. The attention to detail is what makes the Waldorf Astoria truly stand out.
And let’s not forget the Wi-Fi. As a busy Queen, connectivity is essential, and for the Saucy Prince, those uninterrupted YouTube videos are life. The Waldorf’s reliable Wi-Fi ensured there were no meltdowns over buffering—an achievement in itself.
