Saucy Meal Queen’s Review of Brio Italian Grille, Mall at Millenia 👑

When shopping for treasures at the Mall at Millenia (and admiring the most glorious Christmas tree), the King and I decided to refuel at one of our favorite spots: BRIO Italian Grille, Mall at Millenia, a change from our usual Capital Grille. Inspired by Italy’s Amalfi Coast, this casually elegant eatery is a little slice of la dolce vita right in Orlando.

The Atmosphere: Bellissimo at Brio Italian Grille, Mall at Millenia

Brio is gorgeous, whether you’re dining indoors or outside. It’s versatile—perfect for a quick dinner during a shopping spree or a more relaxed evening with friends or loved ones. Plus, we spotted their happy hour (Monday-Friday, 3–6 PM) sign and their weekend brunch promo—tempting for next time!

The Feast Fit for Royalty

Appetizer:

We started with the Gorgonzola Lamb Chops—three tender lamb chops grilled to perfection with a Gorgonzola crust, sautéed spinach, and marsala sauce. The Queen even scored the extra chop because, as my King says, “true love is sharing the last bite.” No photos this time—I was far too hungry to stop and snap! Absolutely delicious.

Main Courses:

  • Spaghetti Bolognese: On my eternal quest for the perfect spag bol, I may have found the winner! Their signature meat sauce, made with ground beef and pork, was rich, flavorful, and oh-so-satisfying. Not a bite left on my plate—a rare feat given Orlando’s famously generous portions.
  • Sausage Carbonara: My King chose the carbonara—a hearty dish featuring mild Italian sausage, pancetta, fennel, Grana Padano, and egg cream sauce, all tossed with Campanelle and topped with crispy pancetta and a sunny-side-up egg. While he enjoyed the flavors, the egg on top was a bit much for his taste.

Drinks:

  • For the King: A glass of Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma County, CA)—smooth, dry, and bold, perfect for his royal palate.
  • For the Queen: Fleur de Mer RosĂ© (Provence, France)—delicate, dry, and light in color, just how I like my French rosĂ©. Both glasses were delightful and complemented our meals beautifully.

The Saucy Verdict

  • Food: 9/10 – The lamb chops and spaghetti Bolognese were pure perfection. The only (small) ding was the egg on the carbonara for my King.
  • Drinks: 10/10 – Spot on!
  • Service & Atmosphere: 10/10 – Brio always delivers with attentive service and a welcoming vibe.

Overall: 9/10

Brio Italian Grille remains a staple for our Mall at Millenia visits. Whether you’re here to shop or just admire the grand Christmas tree, this is a must-visit spot for delicious Italian fare. We’ll be back for brunch—or perhaps happy hour—next time! 🍝🍷✨
