Just a short royal stroll (20 minutes, if you please) from the Saucy Palace, the Saucy King and Saucy Queen found themselves at Agave Azul for a Saturday night filled with music, laughter, and—let’s be honest—a bit of questionable wine.
Windermere, Florida is where sophistication meets sunshine. It’s one of Central Florida’s most desirable neighborhoods — home to the wealthy, the well-traveled, and more than a few familiar Disney neighbors. Just minutes from the magic of the parks, it offers a serene escape with a small-town charm and a luxurious heartbeat. It’s the kind of place where everyone seems effortlessly polished and the sunsets feel like they were painted exclusively for the privileged few.
The vibe here? Immaculate. The lights twinkled, the music pulsed, and the energy was pure fiesta. We grabbed our favorite seats—right at the bar, of course—because when the Saucy Prince isn’t in tow, that’s where you’ll find us. The staff? Absolutely fabulous, full of warmth and charm that keeps the place buzzing.
Now, let’s talk wine… or should I say lack thereof. No French rosé in sight, and the white was—how can I put this gently—basic at best. If it wasn’t for the fantastic music, we’d have marched our royal behinds right back home.
I’ve been before, and last time I sipped their White Sangria like it was going out of style. The next day, I found myself under an IV drip—not exactly the most regal recovery. Lesson learned: pace yourself, Queen.
The moment you sit down at Agave Azul, the royal treatment begins — chips and salsa arrive instantly, and they just keep them coming. Crisp, warm tortilla chips with a salsa so fresh and flavorful it could easily hold its own against any fine-dining appetizer. Honestly, it’s some of the best salsa we’ve ever had — tangy, perfectly seasoned, and downright addictive. Before you know it, you’re waving for round three and pretending it’s “just to share.”
This time, I ordered the Raspberry Chipotle Salmon ($23.50) with rice and veg—tasty, perfectly cooked salmon with a nice little kick and a sauce that made the rice sing. Light, flavorful, and surprisingly healthy.
The King braved the Goat Cheese Jalapeños ($10.50). He said they were delicious… between wiping the sweat off his brow and questioning his life choices. Apparently the hottest thing he’s ever eaten—and that’s saying something!
We’re not huge Mexican food lovers, but I’ll give credit where it’s due: the vibe sells it. The crowd was loving every bite, the bartenders kept the energy alive, and at $6 for a Modelo, you can’t go wrong.
We wandered home under the Florida stars, rumbling tummies and all, but grateful for the friendly faces who made the night sparkle.
Food & Drinks: 5/10 (our royal palates aren’t made for that much spice!)
Vibe & Staff: 10/10 – the people make this place.
Would we go back? Probably — mostly because it’s walking distance and the atmosphere is just too good to resist.
Thank you, Agave Azul, for your fabulous team and the music that kept these royal feet tapping all night long.
If you’re exploring local gems around here, Bella Italia up in Winter Garden is a must — cozy, authentic, and always full of flavor (the Queen highly approves of their pasta nights). And for something a little more polished, head to Sophia’s at the Conrad Orlando, where luxury meets delicious in every bite. Whether you’re in the mood for laid-back charm or five-star flair, Central Florida truly delivers.
