When it comes to pairing a day of shopping with a delicious lunch, The Capital Grille at the Mall at Millenia is hard to beat. My Saucy King and I decided to treat ourselves to a leisurely lunch date—complete with an Uber, so we could truly enjoy their excellent wine selection. And let me tell you, this visit did not disappoint!
As a lover of rosé, I was thrilled to see Whispering Angel on the menu, and of course, I indulged. My King opted for a glass of Moët to start, followed by Caymus, a bold red wine he thoroughly enjoyed.
It’s always a good sign when a restaurant offers something for every palate, and The Capital Grille’s wine list hits all the right notes. Whether you’re a rosé enthusiast, champagne lover, or red wine aficionado, there’s something for everyone.
The service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing, and the staff made sure our glasses were never empty. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between elegant and relaxed, making it ideal for a lunch break during a shopping spree.
If you’re looking to enjoy The Capital Grille without breaking the bank, the lunch menu is a fantastic choice. The portions are just right—not overwhelming, but still satisfying—and the variety ensures there’s something for everyone.
Here’s what we indulged in:
I kicked things off with a cup of French onion soup, which was truly delicious. While it might not have been the most photogenic dish, the flavor more than made up for it. Rich, savory, and perfectly cheesy—every spoonful was a delight.
For my main, I went with my absolute favorite—chicken and mushroom risotto. This dish never fails to impress. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, it’s comfort food elevated to a fine dining experience. Honestly, I could eat this every single day and never tire of it.
The King opted for a bone-out ribeye, served with crispy fries and a side of horseradish cream. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, and the fries were golden and crispy. Judging by his clean plate, it’s safe to say this dish was a winner.
10/10—no complaints whatsoever. The wine selection was excellent, the food was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the service was top-notch. It was the perfect way to recharge during a busy day of shopping.
If you’re at the Mall at Millenia and looking for a place to indulge in a leisurely, delicious lunch, The Capital Grille should be at the top of your list. Whether you’re sipping on Whispering Angel or savoring a creamy risotto, you’re guaranteed a meal that’s both indulgent and memorable.
If you’re looking for other places to eat at the Mall, check out Brio. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend P.F Changs – it was not a good experience.
Stay saucy, Saucy Meal Queen.
