When it comes to going to the movies, I’ve often thought the experience just doesn’t compare to the comfort of home. That was until I discovered Cinépolis Hamlin, where the seats are so comfortable that it’s worth the trip. Seriously, these are the best cinema seats ever—plush, spacious, and reclinable. Next time, I’m packing a blanket for maximum coziness.
Cinépolis allows you to enter the theater 30 minutes early so you can settle in, enjoy the ambiance, and most importantly, order food. And of course, in true Saucy Family style, we took full advantage of that extra time.
The space is impressive, and the convenience of dining while watching a movie felt like a real treat. We saw The Red One, a fantastic movie that kept us entertained for its two-hour runtime. Perfect for snacking, right? Well, here’s what we indulged in:
We loaded up on classic movie fare:
But here’s where I need to pause and give Cinepolis a firm shame on you. $8 for a bottle of water? Are you serious? Charging that much for a basic necessity, especially when families are already spending so much, is just plain greedy.
Cinépolis offers a full dining menu, and here’s what we chose:
Let’s talk about the experience as a whole. The seats, the ambiance, and the convenience of dining while watching a movie were all great. The ability to order and enjoy food in such comfort definitely made the outing feel special.
But—and it’s a big but—it’s impossible to ignore the price tag. Between tickets, snacks, drinks, and meals, our little family outing came to nearly $150. For a movie! While I loved the overall vibe and the comfort, it’s hard to justify that kind of expense.
Cinépolis Hamlin delivers on comfort, ambiance, and convenience, making it a standout choice for a cinema experience. However, the ridiculously high prices, especially the $8 bottle of water, are hard to overlook.
If we decide to go to the movies again, we’d probably come back here because the experience itself is top-notch, but I’d definitely think twice about splurging so much for an outing that, while enjoyable, didn’t quite justify the cost.
6/10 Saucy Points—because no child (or adult) should have to pay $8 for water. Cinepolis, take note: you’re on thin ice with the Saucy Queen. 🎥🍔
Stay Saucy, Saucy Meal Queen 👑
PS – If it’s a burger you’re after, check out Longhorn, there is a one just down the road from the cinema.
