The Saucy Queen’s Royal Birthday Feast at Le Cellier Steakhouse – Epcot Disney World

Ah, darlings, gather ‘round, because it was a day of celebration – a certain Queen’s birthday! But as any royal knows, the Queen never discloses such things, especially when it comes to numbers, darling. So let’s just say I’m as timeless as my birthday celebrations. And with that, it was time to take the royal family out for a feast fit for a queen at Le Cellier Steakhouse in Epcot at Disney World. The Queen (that’s me, of course!), the King, and the Saucy Prince—an afternoon of indulgence, luxury, and of course, a few saucy surprises.

Now, anyone who knows the Saucy Meal Queen knows that we do not do ordinary. Oh no, when we go out to dine, we’re going big—especially when it’s my birthday! So, we marched into Le Cellier ready for a meal that would make anyone feel like Disney royalty.

The Saucy Prince’s Royal Pick: 14-oz Dry-Aged Duroc Pork Chop

Let’s kick things off with the Saucy Prince—our little gourmet critic. He’s not always one for the fancy menu, but he surprised us by choosing the 14-oz Dry-Aged Duroc Pork Chop. It’s a butcher’s cut, served with his pick of sides and sauces (he went for Demi-Glace and Mashed Potatoes), all for $49. Now, I have to admit, that price is a royal steal in this Disney world, especially when you consider the portion size and the flavor packed into that chop. It was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, and he polished it off like a true royal heir. It got a big thumbs-up from him—no complaints, just pure satisfaction.

Honestly, I think this is a great pick for anyone who loves a hearty, meaty dish without the overly fancy frills. Sometimes, simplicity really is the most luxurious thing you can ask for.

The Saucy Queen’s Start: Canadian Cove P.E.I. Mussels

Now, for the Saucy Queen (that’s me, darling!). I started with the Canadian Cove P.E.I. Mussels—served with Vadouvan Curry, Yogurt, Herb Pistou, and a side of Pommes Frites. Let me tell you, those mussels were tender, succulent, and soaked in the most beautiful sauce. The curry provided a gentle warmth, and the yogurt brought a creamy richness that balanced everything beautifully.

However, as much as I loved the mussels, I have to say, next time, I’ll ask for no fries. As delicious as they were, they just got in the way of my ultimate goal: soaking up every last drop of that sauce. Waste not, want not, as they say! The mussels, though—divine.

The Saucy Queen’s Main: Le Cellier Filet Mignon

For my main course, I decided to go all-out with the Le Cellier Filet Mignon—paired with Mushroom Risotto, Pomodoraccio Tomatoes, Truffle Butter Sauce, and Petit Herbs. Our lovely waitress assured me this was one of their guest favorites, and well, it was good, but not as spectacular as I was hoping for at $65. Now, I’m not one to turn my nose up at a good steak, and the filet was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, but let’s just say it didn’t have the wow factor I expected. The risotto was rich, creamy, and satisfying, but the whole dish left me feeling like something was missing.

It wasn’t bad by any means, just not the life-changing experience I was hoping for on my birthday. But hey, when you’re dining like royalty, not every dish needs to be the crown jewel, right? It was still a solid choice, and definitely worth a try if you’re in the mood for a hearty, classic steak.

The Saucy King’s Feast: Rib-Eye, Poutine, and Sauce Flights

Now, let’s talk about the King’s feast, which was truly fit for royalty. Jamie started off with Classic Poutine—hand-cut Pomme Frites, Cheese Curds, Cheddar, and Sauce Bordelaise at $17. Oh my goodness, this was pure decadence. The fries were crispy and perfectly salted, the cheese curds were rich and melty, and the sauce added a depth of flavor that had him literally licking his plate clean. He was a very happy king indeed, and I must admit, I was a little envious of that poutine myself.

Then came the 16-oz Rib-Eye Steak with a choice of sides, and he went for Macaroni & Cheese with Applewood-smoked Bacon and Smoked Gouda. It was $62, and I can assure you, it was worth every penny. The steak was juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. It was a generous portion (much like the King himself), and the macaroni and cheese was indulgence at its finest—creamy, cheesy, and with that touch of smokiness from the bacon and gouda. It’s basically the ultimate comfort food, served up in true royal style.

But wait, the King wasn’t done yet—oh no, he went for the Sauce Flight for an extra $9. Yes, you read that right. Five sauces: Chardonnay-Truffle Butter, Cabernet Demi, Cognac-Peppercorn, Béarnaise, and Sauce Verte. I mean, come on. If you’re going to have a steak, why not have a little fun with it? The King was in his element, dipping every bite into one sauce after another, each adding a new dimension of flavor to his already glorious meal.

The only thing I’ll say is, his eyes were definitely bigger than his royal tummy—he didn’t quite finish everything, and I might have swooped in to help out (what else is a queen to do?).

Drinks and Bread: A Perfect Pairing

As for drinks, the King enjoyed a cold Molson Lager, and I—being the Saucy Queen—sipped on a delightful Raspberry Lemonade (yes, no judgment on my birthday!). The lemonade was refreshing, tart, and just the right balance of sweet. It was the perfect drink to go with the richness of the meal.

And let’s not forget the bread basket that arrived at the table. Oh, the bread. Le Cellier knows how to spoil a queen. The bread was warm, soft, and perfect for soaking up all the sauces and bits of food we didn’t quite finish. Honestly, I could have made a meal just out of the bread and butter. It’s heavenly.

The Saucy Verdict: 8/10

So, after all the indulgence, the Saucy Verdict is a solid 8/10. Le Cellier delivered a fabulous meal with a couple of minor hiccups, but overall, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking for a special experience in Epcot. The service was impeccable, the ambiance was elegant, and the food was, for the most part, delicious. I’ll definitely be back for the poutine, the filet mignon, and, of course, the saucy flight.

Until next time, Disney, keep those saucy experiences coming!
