Ah, darlings, gather ’round, because it’s time for another royal review from the Saucy Meal Queen herself. This time, we ventured over to The Cookie Bar at Summer House on the Lake, a little gem tucked away in Disney Springs. And let me tell you, it’s nothing short of cookie heaven. Imagine the best cookies you’ve ever had—freshly baked, chewy, gooey, and sweet—paired with a refreshing drink, all while sitting on the porch and watching the world go by. Pure bliss, my dears!
Now, if you’re someone who loves a casual snack, especially when in Disney, The Cookie Bar at Summer House on the Lake, is your go-to. This isn’t your average cookie spot. It’s more like a little snack paradise where you can indulge in deliciously oversized cookies while soaking up the laid-back Disney Springs vibe. The seating outside, right on the porch, offers the perfect spot for people-watching and enjoying the fresh air.
But don’t let the casual nature fool you—the cookies here are nothing short of spectacular. Whether you’re a chocolate lover, fruit fanatic, or someone who likes a little extra flair, The Cookie Bar has something for everyone. And if you fancy a beverage to go with your sweet treat, you’re in luck! This place isn’t just about cookies; you can grab a beer, wine, or even a cocktail from the bar. It’s a one-stop snack shop for the ultimate sweet tooth—and the perfect way to unwind after a busy day at the parks.
Now, let’s talk cookies. Specifically, The Cookie Bar at Summer House on the Lake. As a royal family, we have quite the refined palate (you know, for research purposes, of course). Max, my Saucy Prince, went for the M&M Cookie. He’s a simple man with simple tastes, and this M&M cookie did not disappoint. It was everything you’d expect: soft, chewy, and studded with colorful M&Ms that made every bite a little bit of fun.
As for me, I opted for the Strawberry Heaven Cookie. Oh my word. It was a treat that truly lived up to its name! Packed with strawberry goodness and a lovely balance of sweetness, this cookie was like eating a bite of summer. So, yes, it was everything I dreamed of and more. And yes, I’ve had it more than once for purely research purposes (don’t judge me).
Now, as for my dear King, he’s a classic guy, so naturally, he went for the Chocolate Chip Cookie. A real no-nonsense choice for him, and he’s been a fan of this cookie ever since our first visit. The chocolate chips were rich and melty, and the cookie itself was perfectly chewy, with just the right amount of crispness on the edges. Can’t go wrong with a classic chocolate chip, right?
Once we had our cookies, we found the perfect spot on the outdoor porch to enjoy our snacks. The weather was warm, but the breeze made it quite pleasant. The best part was watching the Disney Springs holiday-goers wander by, taking in the atmosphere, and just enjoying the vacation magic. There’s something really special about sitting outside, relaxing with a treat, and watching the world go by—especially when you’re in Disney!
While the seating area outside is comfortable, with plenty of tables and chairs to go around, I did notice something that took away from the experience just a tiny bit: the floor. Now, Disney Springs is known for its cleanliness—everything usually sparkles and shines. However, when we visited The Cookie Bar at Summerhouse on the Lake, the floor was far from up to Disney’s usual standards. The area around us seemed a bit dirty, which, for a place like Disney, felt a bit out of place. As a queen, I simply can’t handle such conditions, especially when I’m trying to enjoy my perfectly baked cookie. A little cleaning would have made a huge difference in making this experience truly top-notch.
If you’re not one for the heat or would just prefer to cool off inside, there are plenty of indoor seating options as well. And while I usually love to watch the world go by outside, I can’t deny that the indoor area is just as lovely, offering a more intimate and cool environment to enjoy your cookies and drinks.
As for the drinks, I opted for Rumor, a delicious rose wine. There’s nothing like sipping a chilled beverage while enjoying your favorite cookie. After all, who wouldn’t want a little extra treat to accompany their sugar-filled snack? My King, went for his usual Summer House beverage, a Modelo.
By the time we finished our cookies and drinks, we were feeling pretty satisfied. The Cookie Bar at Summer House on the Lake is the perfect place for a sweet break in the middle of your Disney Springs adventure. It’s not too heavy, but it’s the perfect treat to recharge before continuing on with your day.
We also had a quick glance at the dessert display by the counter, and let me tell you, everything looks absolutely mouthwatering. Although we were too full to indulge in any more sweets, I definitely plan to return for that Double Chocolate Cake I’ve had my eye on. For those who love a little extra chocolate with their dessert, this is certainly something to try!
So, what’s the final verdict? As much as I would have loved to give this place a perfect 10/10, the dirty floor definitely affected the experience. It’s a little detail, but for me, it’s important. Still, the cookies were fantastic, the drinks refreshing, and the casual atmosphere perfect for relaxing in between your Disney shopping and park adventures.
I would absolutely recommend The Cookie Bar at Summer House on the Lake for anyone looking for a quick and delicious snack during their visit to Disney Springs. And when you’re there, make sure to try a cookie (or two!)—they are definitely worth it!
Until next time, enjoy the magic of Disney Springs! 🍪✨
